Facial contouring – from hyaluronic acid to lifting threads

The Dr Parda Piaseczno aesthetic medicine clinic is a place where science and technology meet a commitment to natural beauty. Thanks to modern methods, it is possible to subtly correct facial features and restore facial harmony without the need for surgical intervention. One of the most popular treatments that allows you to achieve a younger, more refreshed appearance is facial contouring. It uses both hyaluronic acid preparations and advanced lifting technologies such as threads (PLLA + PCL + HA), as well as high-energy procedures like Endolift or Facetite.

Facial contour – what determines its appearance?

Over the years, the structures of the skin, fat tissue and muscles weaken, and the force of gravity causes facial features to descend. Loss of volume in the cheek and jaw areas leads to blurred natural contours, making the face lose its youthful outline.

A defined facial contour is a sign of harmony and proportionality – the jawline is clear, the cheeks are full and the skin is firm. The aim of treatments such as facial contouring is to restore these features by rebuilding volume, improving skin elasticity and lifting descending tissues. Thanks to modern methods, aesthetic medicine makes it possible to achieve this effect naturally, without over-accentuating facial features.

Facial contouring – different paths to one goal

Facial contouring treatments can be divided into two main groups:

  • volumetric methods,
  • lifting methods.

The first group is based on hyaluronic acid – a substance naturally present in human skin, responsible for its hydration and elasticity.

Injecting hyaluronic acid into strategic areas makes it possible to shape the cheeks, jawline or chin, restoring facial proportions and volume. The effects are visible immediately, and the skin becomes smoother and firmer. For patients who, in addition to improving the shape, also want to stimulate natural skin regeneration, PLLA, PCL and Aptos threads are an ideal solution.

PLLA threads – biostimulation and collagen regeneration

PLLA threads (polylactic acid threads) are among the most frequently chosen tools for natural facial lifting. Their action involves not only mechanically lifting the skin but, above all, long-term stimulation of collagen production.

After implantation, PLLA threads gradually dissolve in the tissues, and in their place a network of new collagen forms, supporting the skin and improving its firmness. The result is a natural lifting effect and thickening of the skin structure, without an excessive “pulled” appearance.

This treatment works perfectly for people with the first signs of loss of firmness, but also as part of comprehensive facial contouring, especially in the cheek, jawline and chin areas. Performed in specialised facilities such as Dr Parda in Piaseczno, it provides predictable, safe and long-lasting results.

PCL threads – long-lasting rejuvenation

The second type of thread used in lifting procedures is PCL threads. They are distinguished by excellent durability, as the polycaprolactone material dissolves in the tissues for up to 24 months. During this time, it stimulates fibroblasts to intensively rebuild collagen and elastin, causing the skin to become progressively firmer and tighter week by week.

Unlike traditional lifting methods, PCL threads provide a natural tissue-lifting effect without the risk of losing facial expression. They can improve the contour of the cheeks, jawline and chin, resulting in a noticeably younger facial shape. Combining PCL threads with other methods, such as hyaluronic acid or PLLA threads, delivers particularly good results in thin, lax skin.

Aptos threads – precise lifting and improved firmness

Among advanced lifting techniques, Aptos threads hold a special place. This solution combines mechanical action with biostimulatory effects. These threads feature characteristic micro-barbs that anchor in the tissue, lifting it upward.

Aptos threads allow for very precise results, especially in the lower part of the face, where the jawline and chin require subtle enhancement.

A facial contouring procedure using Aptos threads effectively reduces so-called “jowls” and improves skin firmness, restoring a harmonious contour. Thanks to their structure, these threads provide long-lasting effects, and the regeneration process is quick and comfortable.
