Love Your Body - CO2 Laser

How does an eCO2 fractional laser work?
The eCO2 fractional laser is a new generation laser with a broad spectrum of application, completely safe for the patient. Laser use during a procedure will not cause any discomfort to the patient and does not require any prolonged recovery. High quality of the eCO2 laser used at Dr Parda Aesthetic Medicine Clinic is verified with stringently controlled CE and FDA certificates. A CO2 laser causes microdamage to specific skin fragments, leaving the skin in between intact, so that such intact skin initiates the regeneration process. The damage caused by the device will heal quickly, and significantly lowering the risk of complications. Treatment precision is extremely important for a CO2 fractional laser operator, and the laser pulses must be tailored to the tissue type. This is why it is so important to have that procedure at an aesthetic medicine clinic, by a competent and experienced doctor.

What conditions will be successfully treated by the CO2 fractional laser?

  • Scarring and staining,
  • Stretch marks,
  • Large pores,
  • Thinned skin on the face, arms and belly,
  • Photodamage and photoaging of the skin,
  • Wrinkled, flaccid skin.

How soon will I see the effects?

CO2 laser procedures reduce tiny wrinkles, improve skin texture and shade, restore its firmness and close large pores. Healing performance will be highest in patients with thick, well hydrated skin. First effects can already be noticed 3 days after the procedure, and the skin is fully healed about 10 days after, depending on the application intensity. You should expect the full results 6 months after the end of the course of treatment.

Does the procedure have to be repeated?

It is recommended to repeat the procedure 2-4 times, depending on the extent of the treated issues. Single sessions should take place at 4-5 week intervals, however the actual details depend on the intensity of the previous procedure. With repeated CO2 fractional laser procedures, the appearance of your skin will be transformed completely.

What are the contraindications for the procedure?
Usually, all patients with skin conditions qualify for CO2 laser treatment, yet certain contraindications need to be borne in mind, in the case of which you should decide against the procedure. The following contraindications are most common:

Skin conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo,
Pregnancy or breastfeeding,
Diabetes,
Pre-cancer lesions,
Immunosuppression.

How to remove scars and stains with a laser?
Both scars and stains are skin defects patients may suffer from at any age. If scars or stains are visible in a prominent location, they will be perceived as an aesthetic problem, which is why many people decide to get rid of them. Scarring usually remains after surgery, acne, or burns. Apart from the cosmetic defects, these can also cause excessive tensioning of the skin and a serious dysfunction in a certain area. Staining, on the other hand, is usually caused by sun exposure. eCO2 fractional laser will help you manage these problems, with rapid and spectacular effects. When an anesthetic cream is applied on the skin, the procedure will be painless and will not cause any discomfort to the patient.

How to restore skin firmness and elasticity quickly and effectively?
At Dr Parda Aesthetic Medicine Clinic, your skin will not only get smoother but you can also reduce tiny and medium-sized wrinkles, or even limit larger wrinkles depth. Fractional laser will not only regenerate your skin effectively but also stimulate new collagen production, to make your skin elastic, firm and brightened. CO2 laser will also successfully reduce the signs of photoaging on the skin, making the skin firm, uniform and smooth, so that the overall condition of the skin on your face improves.
