Do we treat men skin and body the same way like women? Absolutely not. We must remember about differences of female and male skin and select procedures such a way to properly and efficiently meet patient’s needs. Men skin is greasing faster, what causes pores closing and pimples. If men spend a lot of time outdoor, then skin is facing sun rays, which causes photo-ageing, discolorations and wrinkles. Thicker men skin also dries faster and becomes irritated. Men also suffer from laugh lines, deep wrinkles, after acne scars. Extremely embarrassing can be hyperhidrosis of pits, hands or forehead, also tendency to set a jaw, what can cause to so called bruxism. Bruxism, beside aesthetic side effects, can cause headaches, problems with gums or even limited head movement.

What kind of procedures are mostly liked by our male patients?

LEONARDO A.L.T.  laser epilation which means fast and painless hair removal. What distinguishes Leonardo A.L.T. Hyper Pulse is the high energy. Depending on a patient’s individual conditions, unwanted hair can be removed from the whole body in 18 to 25 minutes.

eCO2 fractional laser and/or laser peeling which means innovative and modern method of removal of scars and pigmentation.  The procedure is almost painless when performed after application of an anaesthetic cream. It is also safe while performed by a professional. The laser beam heats up and, thus, injures pigment cells. The exposed areas gets darker after the treatment but the discoloration vanishes after a few days and the hitherto hyperpigmented skin gets lighter. The correction of scars is done by burning micro-punctures in skin. These injuries stimulate local production of collagen.

The substance paralyses neuromuscular junctions, causing muscle relaxation and preventing contraction. As a result, skin that has been so treated does not wrinkle. Existing wrinkles (including deep ones, such as the one between the eyebrows) get smoothened. Also, the application of botox can eliminate wrinkles around eyes, on the forehead or on the nose. It is important to note that botox acts only on the muscles in which it has been injected. The remaining muscles function normally, leaving natural face expression.
