Safety and effectiveness of facial ultrasound in medical diagnostics

Facial ultrasound is a tool that we have been using in the daily work of our clinic for several years. By using ultrasonography, we minimize the risk of adverse events and prevent unnatural results of procedures. We also effectively treat post-procedure complications that patients from other facilities come to us with. Additionally, we organize facial ultrasound courses. Learn more.

How does aesthetic medicine use facial ultrasound?

Ultrasound is an examination that has been used in general medicine for many years. Recently, ultrasonography has also become an ally of aesthetic medicine doctors. At Dr. Parda Piaseczno clinic, we are enthusiasts of this technology.

Currently, we use facial ultrasound before all procedures involving needles or cannulas and during treatments. This makes the injectable procedures at our facility safer and more effective and provides more natural results. We are also experts in optimally treating complications that patients report to us after treatments performed in other facilities, often by unauthorized persons.

Modern equipment helps us in our daily work - mobile ultrasound with high frequency, smartphone-sized head, and Doppler.

How do we use facial ultrasound at Dr. Parda Piaseczno clinic?

Ultrasound is primarily associated with diagnostics. However, in our clinic, we use many other possibilities of this technology. To increase the safety of injection procedures, we precede them with tissue imaging and mapping - unique to each patient - of blood vessels. In preventing adverse events, locating previously administered patient fillers and substances in the skin also plays a large role. Additionally, ultrasonographic imaging helps us during treatments, e.g., in properly depositing hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin, or threads.

The use of ultrasonographic imaging minimizes the risk of complications such as:

  • swelling, nodules, necrosis, blindness;
  • edema, discomfort, inflammation.

We consider performing facial ultrasound essential, especially in the case of procedures potentially associated with the highest number of adverse events.

These include treatments involving areas such as:

  • nose,
  • nasolabial folds,
  • glabella (the area between the eyebrows, where the so-called lion's wrinkle forms),
  • jaw (during its modeling, filler may inadvertently be administered into the parotid gland).

We also treat post-procedure complications at Dr. Parda Piaseczno, including those related to hyaluronic acid administration. Ultrasound helps us, for example, in optimally applying hyaluronidase. However, this is usually just the beginning of a several-month treatment process.

Facial Ultrasound Course with Dr. Parda

We also share our experiences in using ultrasound through industry magazines and during national and international congresses and workshops. We also organize basic and advanced facial ultrasound courses, with the participation of national and international experts in the field. Meetings are in group or individual format.

During the courses, we show how aesthetic medicine can use ultrasonographic imaging for planning and monitoring treatments. We teach how to correctly interpret facial ultrasound images and differentiate previously administered patient substances. We also train on how to leave deposits in specific locations. Important topics of the course also include avoiding adverse events and dealing with complications after procedures.

We encourage you to pay attention to the individual facial ultrasound course, in a 1:1 formula. Its program is strictly tailored to the needs of the participant. During the meeting, we discuss more advanced uses of ultrasonography and clinical cases encountered by the trained doctor. In addition to gaining theoretical knowledge, the participant has the opportunity for practical training – both on special phantoms and on patients.

More information about our facial ultrasound courses can be found on this page and on the social media of the Dr. Parda Piaseczno clinic. We invite interested doctors to contact us!
