Take care of your neck and décolleté – areas often overlooked in aesthetic medicine
The neckline and neck are areas we often forget during skincare routines and visits to aesthetic medicine clinics. We focus on facial care, but neglected areas still reveal our age. That’s why it’s worth paying attention to them and taking advantage of appropriate procedures. Discover the neck and décolleté treatments we offer at Dr Parda Clinic in Warsaw.
Aesthetic medicine for the neck and décolleté
Although adjacent, the neck and décolleté age differently. The main aesthetic concerns of neck skin include loss of firmness and the downward displacement of fat below the jawline and around the chin, leading to what’s known as "jowls." On the décolleté, the most prominent issue is the appearance of structural wrinkles—often referred to as "sleep lines" or "pillow wrinkles." Both areas are also prone to sun damage—discoloration and dilated blood vessels.
To help resolve these concerns, aesthetic medicine offers treatments for the neck and décolleté, such as:
- photorejuvenation;
- laser therapy;
- radiofrequency-based procedures;
- mesotherapy;
- lipolysis (chemical fat cell dissolution);
- liposuction (fat removal).
At Dr Parda Clinic in Warsaw, we offer skin-firming procedures for the neck and décolleté, including the options described below. It's worth noting that all injection-based treatments at our clinic are preceded by facial ultrasound examination.
The role of ultrasound in aesthetic medicine
Ultrasound imaging (facial ultrasound) is increasingly used in aesthetic medicine and is a standard of care at our clinic. Facial ultrasound allows us to look beneath the patient’s skin, see blood vessels and other structures, and detect any remnants from previous procedures.
Using ultrasound helps us plan the treatment precisely, minimize the risk of complications, and achieve natural-looking results. It also supports the effective treatment of post-procedural complications reported by patients from other clinics.
Neck and décolleté treatments at Dr Parda Piaseczno
Among the procedures we offer for the face and neck—preceded by ultrasound—is RFAL (radiofrequency-assisted liposuction). This minimally invasive procedure sculpts these areas without the use of a scalpel. The combination of radiofrequency energy and fat suction allows us to firm the skin and enhance facial contours. RFAL liposuction is an ideal solution for patients experiencing skin laxity in the face and neck, double chins, or jowls, who are looking for an alternative to traditional facelifts. The procedure subtly and naturally contours the neck and jawline. It leaves no scars and requires no lengthy recovery.
The treatment is performed under tumescent anesthesia. During the procedure, a small incision is made through which an applicator emitting radiofrequency waves is inserted. These waves heat the deep layers of the skin, causing collagen fibers to contract and fat to liquefy. Simultaneously, excess fat is suctioned out. After the procedure, the skin becomes firmer and the jawline more defined.
The entire procedure lasts about an hour, and patients can return home the same day. Initial results are visible within a few days, and full results appear after approximately 6 months. RFAL liposuction firms the skin and improves facial contours without interrupting daily activities. Swelling may persist for up to two weeks. Wearing compression bands for several days is recommended to support healing.
Exclusive “Swan Neck” treatment protocol
At Dr Parda Piaseczno, we also offer our proprietary “Swan Neck” protocol, designed to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin in this area.
This one-session treatment includes:
- dual-phase medical peel;
- photorejuvenation procedure;
- microneedle radiofrequency treatment;
- botulinum toxin application.
The treatment begins with a consultation and medical qualification. Then, the specialist applies an Italian medical peel to the treatment area, providing revitalization and biostimulation. It also helps regenerate the skin, even out skin tone, and reduce discoloration.
Next, the doctor performs a vascular laser procedure in photorejuvenation mode, which stimulates collagen production. Notably, this treatment can also reduce sleep lines on the décolleté.
The third step is microneedle radiofrequency. This treatment uses radio waves to heat the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surface. It stimulates the production of new collagen.
In the final step of the “Swan Neck” protocol, the doctor applies botulinum toxin. Thanks to the micro-injuries created during earlier steps, the preparation penetrates the platysma muscle, resulting in relaxation and smoothing of wrinkles.
The entire procedure takes 60–75 minutes, and the full effect is visible after about 2 months. We usually recommend a series of 3 sessions.
