Photoageing is caused by long-term exposure of the skin to sunlight. Regular sunbathing without adequate protection in the form of UV filters has an adverse effect on skin tissue, causing the accumulation of abnormal elastin fibres and the simultaneous degradation of collagen fibres. This process differs significantly from the changes that occur in the skin as a result of natural ageing. Deep wrinkles and folds appear, the skin becomes rough, and the epidermis undergoes excessive keratinisation. In addition, defects such as hyperpigmentation, telangiectasia and lentigines may develop.

Photoageing can be prevented by applying creams with a high SPF appropriate for the skin type, as well as by using protective accessories such as hats, sunglasses and suitable clothing.

Although photoageing is an irreversible process, its signs can be reduced. Aesthetic medicine treatments are considered the most effective way to address the visible symptoms of photoageing. At Dr Parda Clinic, we offer a range of treatments that revitalise the skin and help restore its proper structure and healthy appearance. One of the most effective solutions for photoageing is laser therapy, including treatment with the fractional eCO2 laser.

Fractional eCO2 laser is a next-generation device characterised by broad capabilities and high effectiveness. Treatments performed with its use involve creating tiny microchannels in the skin, with intact skin left between them. Thanks to this, the healing process occurs quickly, and skin regeneration takes place during it. The first effects are visible three days after the treatment. The full result develops over 6 months. For a better effect, 2 to 4 treatments are performed at intervals of 4 to 5 weeks.
