What do dark under-eye circles indicate?
Dark under-eye circles may sometimes be a symptom of disease or dysfunction of certain organs. Most often, however, they are simply a feature of one’s appearance. Their causes may include visible small blood vessels, hyperpigmentation, or unfavourable light reflection associated with volume loss and skin hollowing.
In most cases, dark circles under the eyes are therefore not a cause for concern. However, for some patients their presence is unacceptable. They make the face appear older and tired. Many people complain about this concern, regardless of gender or age.
Which treatments are effective for dark under-eye circles?
Discolouration and puffiness in the eye area can be managed with home remedies, creams, or make-up. It is also important to maintain good sleep habits, a proper diet, and adequate hydration. CGF for dark under-eye circles
Mesotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for dark under-eye circles. The procedure involves administering nourishing / hydrating substances or CGF (proteins that regulate complex regenerative processes) into the lower eyelid area. In the case of the latter treatment, a preparation obtained from the patient’s own blood is used.
Thanks to blood processing in a specialised cell separator, the preparation is rich in growth factors and CD34+ stem cells. The treatment rejuvenates, refreshes, and firms the under-eye skin. Lipofilling for dark under-eye circles
For patients of Dr Parda Clinic who do not accept dark circles under their eyes, we also offer “Milan-style” lipofilling. This treatment protocol combines fat grafting and mesotherapy. The procedure was developed by Dr Barbara Parda-Głomska on the basis of a protocol patented by Dr Mario Goisis from Milan. For the treatment, we use nanofat, a preparation rich in stem cells, which is injected superficially, as well as microfat, which is placed slightly deeper. Both products are obtained from the patient’s adipose tissue immediately before the transfer procedure. The injected material is therefore fully natural and safe.
The lipofilling procedure is characterised by minimal invasiveness. It involves harvesting fat from the patient’s hip area and, after appropriate preparation, injecting it into the under-eye area. The physician performs the procedure using a special cannula, which allows for faster harvesting and less damage to the fat cells. The entire lipotransfer is carried out in a closed system, eliminating contact of the preparation with air.
Lipotransfer results in rejuvenation, refreshment, and brightening of the under-eye skin. In addition, it nourishes the skin and accelerates its regeneration. The procedure does not require time away from work.
