Has your skin lost its natural glow, with unsightly dark spots appearing on its surface? Uneven pigmentation, sun-induced discolouration, hormonal pigmentation (melasma), or post-acne marks are concerns many of us struggle with.
At our clinic, we know how to effectively and safely restore your skin’s flawless appearance. We offer individually tailored depigmentation therapies that combine advanced technology with the most effective active ingredients.
Our mission: We do not mask the problem – we treat it at its source, inhibiting excess melanin production and stimulating the skin to undergo deep regeneration.
Who is this treatment for? (indications)
Our pigmentation reduction therapies are the ideal solution if you notice:
- Sun-induced pigmentation (solar lentigines) – the result of carefree sun exposure without proper protection.
- Melasma / Chloasma – hormonally related pigmentation (often appearing during pregnancy, while taking contraception, or during menopause).
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) – dark marks and spots left after acne, injuries, or improper skin cleansing.
- Uneven, “grey” skin tone – caused by fatigue, photoageing, and loss of natural radiance.
How do we work? Key recommendations before and after treatment
Effective treatment of pigmentation is a team effort – ours in the clinic and yours at home. To achieve spectacular results, the following rules should be observed:
Before the treatment:
- For at least 2 weeks before the planned therapy, avoid intense tanning (both in the sun and in tanning beds).
- Stop using creams with retinol and AHA/BHA acids for around 5–7 days before your appointment.
- Do not perform waxing or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for one week before the procedure.
After the treatment (strict prevention):
- Photoprotection is the foundation: Every day, regardless of the weather, apply a cream with SPF 50 and reapply it throughout the day.
- For at least 4 weeks after the treatment, tanning is strictly prohibited.
- For the first 3–5 days, avoid saunas, hot baths, swimming pools with chlorinated water, and intense physical exercise.
- Use only gentle regenerating and moisturising skincare recommended by your cosmetologist – do not peel off flaking skin!
Important: Contraindications to depigmentation treatments
Your safety is our priority. Before we begin treatment, we must rule out all risk factors. The main contraindications include:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Recent tanning (acquired within the last 4 weeks).
- Active viral infections (e.g. herpes in the treatment area), bacterial or fungal infections.
- Use of photosensitising medications and herbs (e.g. calendula, St John’s wort, certain antibiotics) – they should be discontinued 2 weeks before the treatment.
- Oral retinoid therapy (e.g. Isotretinoin) – a minimum break of 3–6 months after completion of treatment is required.
- Active cancer and autoimmune diseases.
- A tendency to develop keloids (keloid scars).
Take the first step towards flawless skin!
Every skin is different, which is why we always begin therapy with a detailed consultation and computerised skin analysis. We will select the ideal method for your phototype and the type of pigmentation you have (e.g. chemical peels, laser therapy, microneedling mesotherapy, or a combined in-clinic and home treatment such as Cosmelan/Dermamelan).
