Facial ultrasound training for doctors
The use of facial ultrasound (US) is becoming a standard in aesthetic medicine. With ultrasonography, it is possible to increase the safety, effectiveness, and precision of procedures. At the Dr Parda Clinic, we are enthusiasts of this tool and have been using it in our daily work for several years. We also organize basic and advanced medical courses on facial ultrasound. Facial ultrasound in aesthetic medicine
Facial ultrasound can be used in many areas of aesthetic medicine. This “third eye” provides the physician with valuable information about the condition of the tissues and the course of veins and arteries in a particular patient. It also makes it possible to locate and differentiate fillers or other materials that were previously deposited in the skin. It also enables real-time visualization of tissues during injections.
Thanks to these advantages, ultrasonography helps prevent complications and enables precise procedures, which supports natural-looking results. It also increases the effectiveness and safety of treating post-procedure complications, e.g., those requiring the administration of hyaluronidase. The use of facial ultrasound in everyday practice is facilitated by handy, mobile, and relatively affordable ultrasound devices.
Advanced training in facial ultrasonography
Although the role of facial ultrasound in aesthetic medicine is growing, specialists’ knowledge of this topic is still relatively limited. That is why the Dr Parda Clinic, where we use ultrasonography on a daily basis, organizes facial ultrasound training for physicians. Our courses cover the use of ultrasonography in aesthetic medicine as well as ultrasound-guided injections. Training sessions are held in small groups or in a 1:1 format.
The courses are led by Dr Barbara Parda-Głomska, an experienced trainer in the use of ultrasonography in aesthetic medicine, in collaboration with other experts—Dr Leonie Schelke or Dr Rosa Sigrist. The training combines a substantial amount of hands-on practice with the latest knowledge on facial ultrasound. We continuously update our medical courses, among other things based on research and the experience of the international Cutaneous group, which focuses on education in facial ultrasonography.
Program of advanced facial ultrasound courses
The Dr Parda Clinic organizes facial ultrasound courses at both basic and advanced levels. The Advanced courses are of particular importance to us because they provide an opportunity to meet again with participants of the basic courses, and thus to deepen the knowledge they have acquired and practice a higher level of ultrasound use. They also make it possible to answer questions that arose while using ultrasonography in individual practice.
During advanced training for physicians:
- we analyze clinical cases of complications in the ultrasound image;
- we learn facial mapping and vessel mapping in the ultrasound image;
- we practice administering fillers and hyaluronidase under ultrasound guidance on patients.
Individual courses are also available at our clinic. In this format, we discuss the basics of working with an ultrasound device as well as facial anatomy and fillers in the ultrasound image. The course also includes training in ultrasound-guided injections on phantoms and patients.
