Post-surgery scars
Many surgeries and other percutaneous interventions leave “souvenirs” in the form of bad looking scars. For many, this can be not only an aesthetic problem but also a remainder of a not necessarily pleasant experience from the past. Fortunately, post-surgery scars can be easily removed using advanced aesthetic medicine methods. We offer a laser therapy to patients who wish to have such marks erased. We use the fractional eCO2 laser device for this purpose. The therapy leads to deep regeneration of skin cells through intense stimulation of natural production of collagen.
The fractional eCO2 laser is a medical device approved by FDA and marked with the European Union’s “CE” certificate of compliance. It is safe to the skin, only slightly discomforting and the time of convalescence is short. Although the therapy is practically non-invasive, it is highly effective and can eliminate many types of skin problems. The device emits long wave light for very precise penetration of the skin tissue. The light produces microscopic burns, leaving most of the tissue intact as a cell growth incubator. The result is regenerated skin and eradicated post-surgery scars.
The result shows up after the first session but depends on the depth and size of the scar. Typically, three to four sessions repeated a few days one after another are required for complete skin regeneration and for significant resorption of the scar. The procedure can be applied to the face, neck, cleavage, palms and many other body areas with skin imperfections. The eCO2 laser device can treat not only scars but also wrinkles, stretch marks and skin discolorations.
The healing after the treatment takes a few days. The irradiated area can become reddened and swollen, depending on exposure and individual skin sensitivity. The convalescence requires no hospitalization and has no effect on the daily activity of the patient.
